How would you like to drive 1000 miles in 35 minutes? Cool summer temperatures await you.
The Heritage Ridge villas are an easy 4 lane highway drive from Asheville, NC. The 1,850 ft. in elevation gain are the equivalent of driving 1,000 miles north. The higher elevation at 4,000 ft means that temperatures are about 10 degrees cooler than Asheville, even though the drive time is only 35 minutes. The 20 villas sit atop a ridge facing east and west, with long range views mostly to the east toward the Black Mountains. The video below shows the view from the back porches of the Heritage Ridge Villas.

The villas look out toward the charming village of Burnsville, on the left in the valley. Roan Mountain and Grandfather Mountain can be seen in the distance, around 50 miles away. On the right, the cloud cap is sitting right over Mt. Celo (6,327 ft.), part of the Black Mountain Range, within the greater Blue Ridge Mountains. This range is the highest group of mountains in eastern North America, with 7 peaks over 6,000 ft. The tallest mountain in the eastern United States is Mt. Mitchell, just beyond the video to the right. Mt.Mitchell is 10 miles away, as the crow flies. The nearby mountain on the right is part of Slickrock Mountain, where Heritage Ridge Villas at Mountain Air are located. Mountain Air is a country club community of homes and condominiums. The Mountain Air community was developed in 1990. The club and common areas on the mountain were first owned by the developer, and then were handed over to the owners several years ago, with no long term debt.
2021 is the 13th year there has been no increase in the monthly condominium HOA fees for the Heritage Ridge Villas due to careful and prudent management. This stability in fees follows a substantial lowering of the fees prior to that time.
