In summer 2023, there are no Heritage Ridge Villas units for sale. Check with any of the above realtors to be informed if any new units come on the market. Our condo design is one of the most popular on the mountain. The 20 units each have the feel of being in a house. While a few other condo associations on the mountain have a similar design, the Heritage Ridge Villas are located the closest to the gate, and the closest to downtown Burnsville and Asheville. They have long range views to the east, to the Black Mountain Range, the tallest mountains in the Eastern US. Some have some western views also. They do not have western sun baking in all day long. Many other condos on the mountain have direct western views.

All of the condominiums are at high altitude which brings cool temperatures. They are close to Asheville and yet have much higher elevation. All have long range views to the east, and some to the west.
All condos have similar layouts and views. The top floor villas (#s 1 and 2) have a vaulted ceiling in the living room, and high ceilings elsewhere. They are 2 bedroom, 2 bath villas (ensuite bathrooms) on one floor. The second bedroom and bathroom suite can be closed off from the living area for privacy. All of the rooms have views, with the open concept living area and the master bedroom having long range views to the east, toward the tallest of the Blue Ridge mountains and beyond. There are front and back porches, and side screened porches with an outdoor fireplace.
The 3 bedroom villas (#s 3 and 4) have two floors and high ceilings. The top floor is similar to the 2 bedroom units. The lower floor has another living area and fire place, a third bedroom and bathroom, and another back porch. The master bedroom and third bedroom and the 2 open concept living areas all have long range views. As the villas are on a ridge, some of the villas also have views to the west from the screened porch, the front porch, the breakfast area, and the kitchen. Each unit has the feel of being in a house, yet the benefits of condominium living. Residents experience sunrises and sunsets, and yet do not have overwhelming sun streaming in all day. Be sure to check out the many amenities that come with the villas, including 6 neighborhood parks, hiking trails, paved roads maintained year round, gardens around each villa and throughout the Mountain Air community, gated community, airstrip for pilots and helicopter pad for emergency medical care, and easy parking for cars and golf carts.
Although the villas are an easy 35 minute 4 lane drive from Asheville, NC, they are in Yancey County, where real estate taxes are much lower. The Heritage Ridge Villas are about as close as you can get to Asheville and still have the cooler temperatures in summer that come with the higher elevation. Other similar Asheville communities have much lower elevation and hotter summer temperatures. Many communities at high elevation are accessed by long drives up switch back roads. The Heritage Ridge Villas not only are an easy 4 lane drive from Asheville, but are also an easy last mile drive on the well maintained, gated, Mountain Air private roads.
